Saturday night I went to Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola to see the DIVA jazz band performing with Marlena Shaw who performed with the Count Basie Big Band back in the day! Marlena and the DIVA’s were swinging and I can’t remember a time when a singer had the audience more in the palm of their hand!
Just before the set ended Bobby McFerrin along with Wynton Marsalis, Marcus Printup and the rest of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Big Band came into the club. Wynton came up to me and told me he liked my hat and shook my hand!
All this exciting jazz has me inspired to get to work on my next projects possibly before I even get back to Montana!
